Well - it's official. Out of the four major pre-made kitchen cabinet centers we have visited, includes Ikea, Home Depot, Rona Depot, Reno, we have a 2009 Best Price Winner - Ikea. Not only did Ikea win - but by almost at half the cost.
We based this decision by estimating how low in cost, can we create a 10x10 kitchen counter setup using the photo below. This would include the counters, doors, hinges, legs, knobs, and countertop. The AKURUM model was chosen. See the photo we have included below.
We eliminated the dishwasher and stove cabinet - figuring, you probally have your own appliances and don't want to have to rebuy new one's.
The actual cabinet sizes will differ in price and measurements depending on your actual needs - but the prices will remain about the same.

How we found this counter, was by visiting Ikea's Website pick "Canada", click on "Kitchen" and finally we chose the "Built-in kitchens" option. From there, click on the "Decide Your Price" and looked for the most affordable kitchen counters.
Use the photo's and information I have provided at your right hand side, to create a kitchen that will look similar to the photo below. You'll notice, 7 wall cabinets are required for the top, and 4 floor cabinets are required for the floor. Your fridge, stove and dishwasher fill in the blanks. I also recommend you visit a countertop store to purchase your countertop. It will be cut to your exact specifications for about the same price.
