BOUGIE PROJECTS
Project : Hiding Cable And Phone Wires - Then Paint
As we are helping our friend redo his home in St. Leonard, his wife really did not like the exposed cable and phone wires in the family room. So, before we painted this room, we had to remove the floor boards and make a slot in the walls to conceal the wiring. After this was done, we proceeded to finish off the rest of the painting project. Take a look at how we did it :)

Step By Step : Each Photo Explained.

01 Hiding A Wire
This is the main room for guests and reception. Everything had to be perfect. My friend's wife wanted No Exposed Wires :)

02 Hiding A Wire
Here's a close up of what I've done. The cable must be inserted into the wall, that's why I cut this grove out from behind the baseboards.

03 Hiding A Wire
Here's another close up of the method I used to hide the cable.

04 Tools Of The Trade
Now that the wire is tucked into the wall. It's time to put it all back together.

05 Rebuilding
New baseboards are added, because the old one's have seen their day. They were brittle and over painted.

06 Baseboards
The finished look. I sealed the seams with paintable putty and filled the nail spots as well.

08 Painting
I skipped past the cutting and went directly to the painted finished room - Not bad at all :P

09 Painting
Here's another look at the same room from another angle.

10 Borders
At first we were instructed to keep the boarders, now, there's a change of plans lol. They must come off.
